Sharing Holiday Favorites Everyone Can Enjoy

Here’s where I officially turn into a foodie.  Got your attention? Stay with me to the end — you will like this.  I thought just for fun and for the holidays, I would share a blog that would center on one of the best things about the season — sharing a meal with family and friends. There is something special about sharing a meal with family and friends this time of the year.  But let’s be honest, it’s not always easy knowing what to fix, especially if you consider there has been a 600% increase in people taking on vegan diets in the last several years. I’m a midwest guy, who loves his meats and potatoes, but amazingly, I have learned to appreciate many variations of food choices.

Chances are, you have a nephew, friend, or (maybe even your spouse) who has said goodbye to meat, dairy products or is gluten free.  There are also a lot of folks adopting a keto or paleo diet and many who don’t eat any grains.

All of these dietary changes can make for a game of “food Tetris” for anyone trying to plan and serve a big meal. Statistically, we all know someone on a specific dietary trajectory, so it’s worth our time to build a few ideas that everyone can enjoy.

The great news is that with a lot of these changes, some really great recipes have come out of it.  Take it from this Midwest guy, you can find things that taste delicious without the ingredients you would think need to be included.  Dates for sugar, applesauce in instead of eggs, rice flour instead of wheat flour— the list goes on and on. So with all that in mind, we took a look at some of the best-looking recipes and share them a link to find them below. Enjoy!
