Inspiration Life Quotes For The New Year

I hope last week’s blog about re-thinking new year’s resolutions was helpful.  It’s important that we get our minds in the right place as we start a new year.  The Bible supports this notion by saying, “as a person thinketh, so he is…” As we continue to move into the second and third weeks of the New Year, I wanted to share some encouraging, inspirational, and yes — even motivational — quotes to help get our minds thinking the right way.  It’s amazing but something as simple as a quote can feed our minds with the right kinds of ideas. Whether you are actively working towards your New Year resolutions, goals, or whatever you are calling them, or you took to heart last week’s blog and are taking some time to reflect and re-assess, I hope these encourage you on your journey.

Here are eight quotes — one for today and each day of the next week

  1. “This is the new year the new you. You can pass through another year, coasting on cruise control. Or you can step out of your comfort zone, trying things you have never done before…” – Pablo

2. “I will be generous with my love today. I will sprinkle compliments and uplifting words everywhere I go. I will do this knowing that my words are like seeds and when they fall on fertile soil, a reflection of those seeds will grow into something greater.” – Steve Maraboli

3. “If I can’t stay where I am, and I can’t, then I will put all that I can into the going.” – Jeanette Winterson

4. “For a change, don’t add new things in your life as a new year’s resolution. Instead, do more of what’s already working for you and stop doing things that are time-waste.” – Salil Jha

5. “If you’re reading this…Congratulations, you’re alive. If that’s not something to smile about, then I don’t know what is.”  – Chad Sugg

6.“We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.” – Maya Angelou

7. “You need to learn how to select your thoughts just the same way you select your clothes every day. This is a power you can cultivate. If you want to control things in your life so bad, work on the mind. That’s the only thing you should be trying to control.”  – Elizabeth Gilbert

8. “Do you want to know who you are? Don’t ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you.”  – Thomas Jefferson

I really was moved by these quotes and I hope you will be as well.  I pray as you ponder them this coming week, that they will help you make better decisions, maybe focus on making or changing habits, and help you set better goals.  Remember it’s our attitudes & mind-set that defines our experiences more then the experiences themselves. If you have a great quote that has made a profound impact on your life, I would love to hear it.  As always, thank you for reading and sharing my posts. It’s important!
